STEGTA chosen as the provider to support the Technical Apprenticeship Consortium (TAC) in the North West

The Technician Apprenticeship Consortium (TAC) is a group of over 30 large and small engineering consultancy practices that has come together to develop and deliver Advanced Technician Apprenticeships to assist in meeting the demand for highly skilled technicians.

Following on from the recent TAC bid selection process, STEGTA has been chosen as the Training Provider best suited to provide training support for the Consortium’s Technician Apprenticeship initiative in the North West.

Recruitment Phase for 2014

Over the Summer, STEGTA has worked closely with employers within TAC and is pleased to announce that this initial phase resulted in the successful placement of 26 Apprentice Technicians.

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering UK Ltd Apprentice Awards 2014

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering are extremely passionate about Apprenticeships and STEGTA have worked in partnership to recruit and support their Apprentices since 2012.

On 17th September 2014, STEGTA were invited to attend the CarnaudMetalbox Engineering annual Apprentice Awards event. Each winner was presented with an award from the company as well as a monetary award from STEGTA acknowledging their achievements.

Awards were presented as below:

The Peter Moran Award for Best Training Apprentice of the year. To an Apprentice that has impressed during their First Year of training: Daniel Tyne

The Roger Laycock Award in recognition of an outstanding project completed by an Apprentice: Jake Green

The Peter Larvin Award for an Apprentice who has shown Outstanding Achievement and Performance during the year: Alex McCluskey

STEGTA exhibit at Northern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition 2014

On 1st-2nd October the STEGTA team attended the Northern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition held at Event City in Trafford Park for the second consecutive year.

The exhibition is dedicated to serving the needs of manufacturing and electronics industries in the North of England and is a great opportunity for STEGTA to discuss any potential training requirements or prospective Apprenticeship positions with employers.

We look forward to returning in 2015!

Welcome to the newest member of the STEGTA Team…

We are pleased to announce that our Electrical/Electronic Engineering Training Officer, Andrea Roberts, has given birth to a little girl named Imogen Aurora Ingley Roberts.

Imogen arrived on 30th October 2014 at 3:10am and weighed 4lb 4oz. Both mother and baby are doing well and we send Andrea our best wishes for her maternity leave.
