Wellacre Academy Super Learning Day

On the 23rd of January, stegta attended the ‘Super Learning Day’ at Wellacre Academy.

The stegta Team provided a series of Engineering Workshops for the Year 9 Learners.

The boys will shortly be taking their GCSE options and this initiative gave them the chance to learn about the opportunities available in the Engineering field.

During the day the learners participated in some hands on activities, including robotics, measurement and instrumentation and also the preparation of Milling and Turning machines.

New Training Facility Opens

Stegta in partnership with Wellacre Technology Academy are delighted to formally announce the opening of a new engineering facility.

Stegta has worked with Year 9, 10 and 11 learners in the school for a number of years and has recently started a Performing Engineering Operations basic engineering course in the school sixth form.

As part of this encouragement to attract young people into engineering Stegta has invested in its own training facility within the Academy 6th form building and is now training current employed apprentices in Turning, Milling and Mechanical fitting. The facility will also be used by 6th form learners on our engineering course and our thanks go out to one of our member companies Trescal for the donation of a range of measuring equipment.
