The Senior Management Team are holding daily briefings to discuss current developments.

STEGTA Apprentice Engagement

Alterations have taken place within our Offices and Training facility in line with government guidance, to include all necessary Track & Trace measures, Signage, PPE, Sanitisation and Person capacity within these as a whole. This also includes Person capacities in individual rooms, Open Areas and Training areas, in order to take account of effective social distancing. Prior to attending the STEGTA Training Centre for face-to-face training, all Apprentices must complete a COVID-19 self-assessment, to state they have not been in contact with anyone suspected of being infected with the virus, nor have recently been to any foreign countries currently on the UK government quarantine list. In addition, all Apprentices are encouraged to download and use the newly released NHS Test & Trace app – All staff are also required to use it.

Face-to-Face lessons and progress reviews can take place within the office and The STEGTA Training Centre, utilising the provided Sanitisation, PPE and room capacity measures to ensure the safety of everyone present.

Where face-to-face progress reviews are allowed to take place in company, the employer concerned must assure STEGTA that all necessary protection measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all parties concerned – including current Test & Trace measures. Where these face-to-face reviews are not possible, they will take place via ‘ZOOM ™’ or Microsoft Teams and include the mentor/manager to ensure continuity of support and guidance.

College Based Learning

As Colleges are now returning to face-to-face teaching, STEGTA have ensured the necessary protection measures are in place to ensure the safety of all STEGTA Apprentices. In addition, colleges continue to provide the Apprentices with continued access to course resources via the college ‘Moodle’ or similar remote access platform.

STEGTA will continually monitor the COVID-19 situation across all of its sub-contracted teaching provision, and provide updates to employers where necessary.
