Fresenius Kabi Ltd – STEGTA Excellence Award Winner 2022
We would like to Congratulate Fresenius Kabi who have been awarded the STEGTA Excellence Award for outstanding employer support.

Rob Cully – Training Manager, Medical Devices UK commented: “We are delighted to receive the STEGTA Excellence Award for Employer support from STEGTA. We have worked closely with STEGTA for the last seven years on our apprenticeship programme and have seen it go from strength to strength. We have fully committed to our apprenticeship programme and have so far hired ten apprentice engineers, five of which have fully completed qualifications up to and including Level 4, with another five who are still completing their studies. The support that we receive from STEGTA has been first class and our programme would not be where it is today if it was not for this. We would like to thank our training officer, Dave Smith, in particular for his hard work, guidance and patience over the years, his support had been invaluable.
Developing our own apprentice engineers has helped our department to grow and meet the increasing demands from our patients and customers in the most challenging of times. Our whole engineering department has developed with some of our existing engineers completing some of the qualifications that our apprentices’ have undertaken. We are now seeing our original apprentices’ moving into team leadership roles for example, Wes Sinclair is now the Section Leader for our Enteral Device business stream whilst Tom McNamara has recently taken up a role as a Business Development Manager on our Infusion Technology business stream. We are excited about continuing this programme and with the help of STEGTA, we are sure that we will continue to build on this success.”
